Namnlös
Namnlös, of Minneapolis,
Minnesota, features the Swedish keyed fiddle, the nyckelharpa.
Judy Kjenstad and Wes Peterson pair up with Myron Price on guitar
and harmonica and Sarah Shaftman on violin. (The four of them
could not find a name that expressed the spirit of their ensemble,
so they decided to remain "Nameless.) They play the infectious
folk dance music of the province of Uppland and its neighbors,
from historic regional specialties to lovely waltzes written
by modern-day performers. Members of the quartet have been part
of such groups as the Twin Cities Nyckelharpalag, Skandilous,
the Mill City Serenaders, Liljediket, and the Wild Goose Chase
Cloggers.
