FAERD

Færd was launched in 2001 by  Danes, Peter Uhrbrand and Eskil Romme. Peter and Eskil got the idea of getting a band together after touring in the Faroe Islands. They discovered a basic Scandinavian musical material which was very unique and yet very rarely heard outside of the Faroe islands. Nowadays, Eskil and Peter are joined by Jens Ulvsand, of Malmö, Sweden. Their material is a mix of traditional and newly composed tunes and songs, from folk to jazz, by a wide range of musicians and composers from all over the world. Since 2005, the trio of Faerd has toured in Denmark, Italy, Holland, Germany, The Faroe Islands, Spain, Australia and New Zealand. This is their first tour of the USA.
